SHOPPING GUIDE
Finding Plants and Seeds
We have grouped most our plant products for sale according to their plant family, and then by genus, species and common names. Many of our plants don’t have common names but if they do these may be included in the product name.
If you don’t know what family the plant belongs to enter its common or scientific name in the search box on the left of this page. You can also use this search function to generate a list of plants with a common characteristic like “cuttings” or “certified “ by entering the appropriate key words.

Acceptance of International Orders
It is our intent to make as many of our products available to customers located outside the United States as possible. Most of our seeds and plants can be exported but they are subject to an array of general and country-specific requirements that change frequently without notice. Import permits and/or phytosanitary certificates are usually required for shipments of plants and seeds regardless of the amount.
Export Documents May be Required. All shipments of seeds or plants to countries in the European Union any many other countries must have a Phytosanitary Certificate (PC) issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The PC must be purchased when you place the order with us. Many countries also require the importer (buyer) to obtain import permits. If an import permit is required we must have a copy of it before we request issuance of the PC.
International orders cannot be placed directly through this online store. If you are interested in purchasing seeds or plants for delivery to foreign destinations please CONTACT US first. Provide the names and quantities of the items you wish to order and the destination address. We will then check on the requirements and provide an estimate of the total costs before you place of the order.
Export Shipments of Hoodia and Other CITES Regulated Plants
Plants and seeds of all Hoodia species and hybrids, and all succulent African species of Euphorbia are regulated under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), an international multilateral treaty agreement between governments intended to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten their survival.
All exports of Hawaiian Hoodia™ and African Euphorbia products to locations outside the U.S. must be made under the provisions of our U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) CITES Master File permit number PER10719705 and single use export permits issued in accordance the Master File permit.
Minimum Order. The logistics of obtaining interisland inspections and clearances for shipments of CITES regulated plants and seeds from Hawai`i Island are very difficult, and the costs of obtaining the required documents are high. For these reasons we have established a minimum order of $200.00 for international shipments of Hoodia and Hoodiopsis plants.
Plant Photos
Photos of plants and seeds on our website and shown in this store with product listings are presented only as general examples. The size, form, color and other attributes of these plant products can be highly variable, and the products you receive may differ from those presented in the photos.
Winter Shipments
Most of our plants are adapted to tropical growing conditions and may be damaged or killed by exposures to cold or freezing temperatures in transit or at their destination. These conditions are beyond our control and customers assume all risks of shipping during adverse weather. To reduce these risks we offer heat packs for inclusion with plant shipments. These may be purchased from this store when orders are placed.

Notices Concerning Live Plant Shipments
International Plant Shipments Suspended. The costs of all services relating to processing, packaging clearance and shipment of live plants to destinations outside the U.S. have increased rapidly and become prohibitive. Long, unpredictable transportation delays are now routinely encountered and may result in damage or losses of live plants. These conditions are beyond our control and have forced us to curtail these shipments. We are no longer accepting international orders for live plants except for Hoodia and Hoodiopsis species.
New Minimum Orders and Service Charges for International Shipments. These have been listed in our TERMS OF USE AND SALE document.
California Shipments. We are no longer accepting orders for plant shipments to California. Seed shipments will continue.
