MO NAMED CULTIVARS (VARIETIES)

These are the most widely planted, named varieties (cultivars) and the seeds may be available in bulk quantities for larger plantings.  Please refer to our International Moringa Seed Bank Catalog for additional information about the characteristics of these varieties.

Recommendation:

Most of the named varieties listed in this section were developed in India with characteristics for optimal production of edible pods.  For production of leaves, or growing moringa in other areas we strongly recommend including seeds of some of the unnamed varieties and ecotypes from other geographic areas in your plantings.  These will provide greater genetic diversity and may be more productive or better adapted to growing conditions outside of India than the named varieties.
