These seeds are from farms in the Salima area near Lake Malawi. It is unclear if these are of the variety “Malawi” mentioned in some references but our supplier believes it is unlikely that they are from cultivars imported from other areas. Moringa was introduced in Malawi by Asians in the late 18th century, long before the widely planted Indian cultivars were developed and these seeds may be from descendants of the early trees.
