Dainella sandwicensis (Hawaiian Uki Uki Lilly)

This is a native Hawaiian plant.  It had many uses in early Hawai`i.  Its purple fruit were a source of a dye for fabrics and the tough fibrous leaves were used as cordage. It is excellent for landscapting and the variety we offer does not grow very tall and requires little triming.

Our plants are non-certified nursery stock and must be shipped bare root.  They can be shipped to all states except Arizona, California, Lousiana and Texas.

Potted plants may also be sold on Hawai`i island at retail outlets.  Contact us for wholesale pricing.
