This is a rare species, an epiphytic succulent species endemic to the forests of Madagascar. It has been evaluated and determined to have a low potential for invasiveness and is considered Plant Pono, desirable for planting in Hawaii`i.
We may now be the only source of these plants and our supplies are limited. Our plants were all grown from cuttings from one plant and are believed to be self-sterile. They bloom profusely in the winter and early spring in our area with attractive coral pink flowers. They have not set seeds.
This tropical plant is best suited to growing off the ground in pots or hanging planters in media with good drainage. Snails and slugs will attack accessible plants and birds may eat the leaves. Our plants are certified nursery stock and may be treated with imidacloprid to control white peach scale. They may be shipped to all states except California.
