Euphorbia makallensis is commonly known as the sausage plant. It is endemic to the Tigray area of northern Ethiopia and has a very limited distribution in nature. The plant forms cushion shaped mounds of stems and with a neat appearance. The flowers are yellow and appear along the edges of the stems.
We have active research and development activities involving this species. Plants in excess of our research needs may be offered for sale as cuttings or rooted cuttings from various sized pots. Plants listed as Certified Nursery Plants (CNP) may be shipped bare root to all states except California.
Non-certified nursery stock grown in clay pots is also offered for local sale for ornamental use.
This species is listed on Appendix II of CITES and we are authorized to ship specimens and sap outside the United States under the provisions of our U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service permits. International customers must contact us before placing orders.
Avoid contact with the sap, which may be irritating and toxic.
