Pittosporum hosmeri (ho’awa) is a native Hawaiian tree endemic to Hawaii island. It has many characteristics making it a good selection for low maintenance landscapes. The flowers are fragrant at night.

The seeds in this lot were sustainably harvested in March 2022 from trees grown for two generations in cultivation. They are unprocessed and shipped with the sticky resinous coating that they have in the pods. The seeds loose viability in storage and should be planted upon receipt. Various treatments such as soaking in lemon juice are used to improve germination.
