Data in this section is from our observations of plants in cultivation at the Moana Experimental Farm located at Hawaiian Ocean View, in the Kau District of Hawai`i island.

Summary and Recommendations:

Our plants had many blossoms with no fruit suggesting a low pollination rate.  It is self-sterile and during periods of heavy bloom in October 2026 no other varieties that could have served as pollinators were in bloom.

This variety reportedly produces fruit during dragon fruit off season. It may have relatively high cold weather tolerance.
